Meet Joe Whitt

Joe began showing horses at the age of nine. In his first show he placed fourth out of eighteen, in a Pet Pony Class (walk/jog), and was hooked! Growing up in Southwest Virginia, he showed Quarter Horses at local Open and 4H shows. Joe always dreamed of having his own boutique breeding operation. In 2022, his dream became a reality, and Foxwood Quarter Horses was born. Joe retired from a successful 35-year career in the health care business and moved south where he and his partner, David Brinkley, purchased a small farm in Camden, South Carolina.

Joe is excited to start his next phase in life, and is now living his dream life on a farm. He is starting his broodmare lineup with his former show horses. AQHA and NSBA World Champion Rumors Only and AQHA and NSBA High Point and Reserve World Champion Suddenlee Single. He has also carefully selected several other broodmares to complete the lineup.

We are excited for the first foals to start arriving in 2023, the primary goal is to provide an outstanding selection of prospects, at reasonable prices, and to select show homes.

Having been successful in multiple events, Joe has always loved the challenge of buying a young horse and starting it from scratch. Joe is an AQHA, NSBA, PHBA World and Reserve Champion. As well as a Congress Reserve Champion. He has also been High Point and Top Five in the Nation in multiple events with multiple horses. We are excited to begin a new challenge of developing a successful breeding program.

“Our primary goal is to provide an outstanding selection of prospects, at reasonable prices, and to select show homes.”
